My name is Marcus (aka “Wolf”). I`ve wanted to learn how to tattoo since the 8th grade. I was Influenced by my great grandfather and the whole idea of the lifestyle caught me.

I got my first tattoo when I was 16,  I`ve been committed to getting zapped ever since. I started hanging around a shop  where I always got zapped. The owner gave me a chance to learn the ins and outs of the game from scrubbing endless steel Tubes, Grips, and tips , greeting clients, cleaning the shop, and non- stop watching him tattoo. There I tattooed a couple of my first tats and got started.

Later I landed an apprenticeship @ Underground Ink in Auburn, NY where I am from. I am happy to have a chance to learn the trade. Shout out to Mike, Dylan, Rob R,Tony G, Teri, Mom, Ian, Peig, and Thad. VSXE

Does it hurt to get a tattoo?

For some, it can be compared to getting stung by a bee repeatedly. After so many stings, you’ll become kind of numb but you are right to think that it will hurt when you get your first tattoo. However, it’s worth it if the tattoo has a deep rooted personal value… not just something you think looks cool at the moment.

Will you regret getting a tattoo?

The tattoos most often regretted are those with names, tattoos that can’t be easily covered when and if you need to present yourself professionally, and tattoos that can be found offensive or distasteful. The most common regret is a low quality tattoo. Your tattoo artist is responsible for communicating the consequences of any tattoo you choose, and for providing quality work and after care instructions. You are responsible for making a grown up decision over whether or not you will want to live with that artwork on your skin for the rest of your life… and for taking proper care of any tattoos you do get.

I opened Underground Ink in 2005. I take great pride in my work and shop. I’m dedicated to make sure Underground Ink is the cleanest most sterile environment for tattooing in the area. I require that all members of my staff take a blood borne pathogens course and become certified.

We go above and beyond to ensure our customers are safe.

I’m also dedicated to providing great customer service. We try to make sure every one feels welcome and comfortable. My goal is to give the best possible tattoo I can offer. I enjoy working one-on-one to develop a great tattoo for my customer. Tattooing is my passion and there is nothing more rewarding about it than seeing a satisfied customer showing off my artwork.
